The only thing one cannot agree with the Ambassador is her opinion about the opposition, particularly the "Hayastan" alliance. They have failed to do anything for the past 5 years, and they will fail this term as well. Whether on purpose or not - that needs to be understood and revealed in the decades to come, probably. Armenia is on the brink, and they are responsible for that too:(

I can agree that they can't simply rerun their last years. I hope there were lessons for them to make themselves effective. I'm routinely disappointed by many of them just making statements and not taking further steps. Admittedly many of them are not in parliament anymore.

I have a feeling the opposition hoped they would get too few votes again to be able to blame "the people" who chose Pashinyan and go on with their pathetic speeches and idle mode for another 5 years, unless Armenia is finally gone.

But "the people" did vote for them (despite all their failures), and there you go. They got the votes and did nothing.

In a recent conversation with a junior representative of one of the main opposition parties, the mantra "people didn't come out to the streets those 5 years" stumbled on my question - what about Srbazan movement and reportedly over 100.000 people that Srbazan managed to gather in the square. No specific answer, just "uhm-ahm-but-well..."

Srbazan did his part well while the political processes that were supposed to be developing behind were failed again by the political forces.

Continuous inaction since November 2020. Why?
